PROJECT DESIGNER
AT THE OFFICE: Samie joined the HDLA team in 2025 after completing her MLA at the University of Virginia. Before joining our team, she worked as an architectural designer in Philadelphia and interned at landscape firms in Boston and Charlottesville. Her interests in urban psychology, meaning and memory, and land stewardship are anchored in her belief that holistic multidisciplinary design can soften our world and strengthen public identity.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE: Originally from Philadelphia, Samie loves exploring cities on foot and discovering their hidden gems. While living in New Mexico and Virginia, she cultivated passions for photography, art, and cooking; interests that keep her love of travel alive. When she’s not out wandering, she can be found passing time at her local gym, parks, and coffee shops, or experimenting with new recipes at home.
