AT THE OFFICE: DeMera joined the HDLA team in July 2019. New to the Nashville area, DeMera brings professional experience in urban and rural contexts alike. Her early career focused on legacy projects within the greater Houston, Texas area and then in the Lake Tahoe Basin in northern California. With these diverse regional influences, her design philosophy strives to inspire and emphasize the development of ecologically resilient spaces with acute attention to community and human scale.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE: With a minor in English, DeMera has a knack for fancy assortments of words that articulate her passion for the profession of Landscape Architecture, among other things. Naturally, in her free time she enjoys good literature, opportunities for existential thought whilst in the back-country, and long, grounding phone calls from her family back in Texas. She is also the proud mother of three – a young, spry cattle dog, a fierce alley cat, and a hardworking robot vacuum.
